For a country like America, the people really don’t care much about water tanks for the fact that they are a developed country with a great amount of water to supply them. A lot would waste water without knowing how precious a natural resource it is. Poorer countries are the ones that appreciate water tanks for them to have a sufficient amount of water.
We now have a yearly celebration so that people won’t forget the value of water and we call this World Water Day. The United Nations General Assembly has affirmed March 22 as the day that all should celebrate water. It all started back in 1993.
The UN encourages people to at least not turn on their water valves in order for this essential resource to be conserved. For all countries to get involved, UN thinks of a certain theme each event. One specific activity is the raising of global issues regarding water.
With the UN comes organizations that do not belong to any government, all around the world. These agencies work hard to attract the attention of governments and various people’s groups in order to promote clean water and the conservation of aquatic habitats around the world. The special discussion group called the World Water Forum has always been there for the World Water Council since 1997.
In the panel, the important thing that they discussed is about those billions of people in the globe that have yet to experience clean and safe water. Safe water is something that all should have and it is very sad that those in first world countries just don’t care about it. What the Council did was to have an annual report about the status of water in various parts of the world.
In recent years the themes were “Water for Cities: Responding to the Urban Challenge” in 2011, “Clean Water for a Healthy World” in 2010, “Transboundary Waters” in 2009 and a lot more. Much thought and consideration were clearly put into these socially relevant themes. From them, important messages and reports were circulated among governments and different agencies such as the World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Education, Science and Culture Organization (UNESCO), and United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), among many others.
We can commend the water tank industry for its modesty as well as its greatness. Water will be safe and will be preserved once inside the water tanks. In terms of irrigation and agriculture, the use of water tanks proves to be beneficial.
Back when civilization was still growing, early humans has already started building a water tank. Houses that were built before were close to water like rivers. There was a time that early humans needed to live on land far from the lakes and rivers and that is why they had to make earthen tanks and storage tanks.
Today, leading industries in the US still make use of water tanks. Water tanks that are elevated are the ones that are widely used. If it’s elevated then water is able to move faster, going to various homes in a neighborhood.
Water tanks also have commercial functions in some fields. They can be used in irrigation systems and in feeding domestic animals. The water tank business does not only produce water tanks: they also support the preservation of the natural resource and the saving of our planet.
