Water Tanks and Clean Water - The Savior of the Poor

Without safe water made available to homes, families are prone to contract several kinds of illnesses related to water contamination and poisoning. Far too many rural areas do not have any access to plumbing, clean water and sanitation. In most cases, cities and rural communities are not well educated in managing their precious sources of usable water.

Approximately half of the tube wells in Bangladesh are contaminated with arsenic because uneducated diggers did not go down to the regulation 100 meters. This situation arose because the government of that country did not educate and supervise the population. The question is how many people were poisoned in this way?

Even though such poisoning is not always fatal, it will cause serious harm. People all over the world are getting poisoned from drinking contaminated water. Research suggests that 140 million people have been poisoned in 70 countries.

Such figures highlight the need to check water sources in order to avoid injury and death. All pipes, plumbing systems and reservoirs need to be checked on a regular basis. The fact that developing countries have spent millions of dollars on such projects highlights their urgency.

Even though there haven't been any reported deaths in Bangladesh, the government needs to act now to make sure this doesn't happen. Reports suggest that Bangladesh has already received foreign aid to help fix the problem. Sadly, not much has been done.

More severe cases have been reported in other parts of the world. Diarrhea and malnutrition combine in developing nations, and wipe out children under 5. All over the world, 90% of all deaths from water-related diarrhea occur in children who are too weak to resist the infection since they have not been eating enough.

Statistics suggest that 769 000 children below the age of 5 died from diarrhea in Africa between 2000 and 2003. The majority of these deaths could be avoided if one clean water tank had been erected in the affected areas. In developed countries, there were 700 children under 5 that suffered the same fate from diarrheal disease.

Research suggests that introducing a clean water supply can lower death by 25%. If you store, treat and distribute water correctly, as in developed nations, you can reduce cases of diarrhea by 39%. This should serve as an example to all the nations in the world.

It has been revealed that sewage is the leading cause of water contamination, which translates to the consumption of human fecal parasites. This is a disturbing revelation. A survey in 2006 revealed that 1.1 billion people globally did not have clean drinking water, which correlates to 1.8 million deaths from water-related illnesses.

Deaths could be prevented if access to clean water was improved. It is easy to prevent millions of deaths - all that needs to be done is to install cheap Water Tanks, filters and purifiers. If a community has an efficient water system, then lives can be saved.

If you need to have the best water tank that you could use at home, make sure that you go to trusted places only. Hitting this link will help. Try it out now!
